Books

How could we be a librarian and a historian writing a blog without listing books?

Love and Marriage

Three to Get Married  -Fulton J. Sheen
Called to Love - Carl Anderson and Jose Granados
The Four Loves -C.S. Lewis

Devotional
Life is Worth Living -Fulton J. Sheen
-- Based on the tv show by the same name.
The Screwtape Letters- C.S. Lewis

Theological/Apologetic
Mere Christianity -C.S. Lewis
-- Classic summary and defense of what Christians think

Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven and the Resurrection -N.T. Wright
-- What Christians ought to to believe about heaven and why.  Includes historical summary of such beliefs, and their historical basis, specifically the Resurrection of Jesus.

Othodoxy -G.K. Chesterton.  Our fondness for British authors who only use their first two initials should now be evident.

Reasonable Faith (2008) - William Lane Craig.
--Valuable book in apologetics by a prominent philosopher that includes sections on the implications of life without God, scientific and philosophical reasons for belief, and historical defenses of the Resurrection and person of Jesus.

On Guard- William Lane Craig
-- More basic, popular version of Reasonable Faith. (RF was designed for graduate classes in seminary, OG for pop audiences.  A good stepping stone to RF.
